Wow. I forgot how old it was. I thought it was much older.

I guess with new cars coming out so frequently these days and not seeing many if any Mk1s on the road anymore makes them in my mind much older than they actually are.

I didn’t rate the Mk2 much till I had a one to clean early on, last year.

The number of comments about it and spending time getting to know the car meant I actually became rather fond of her.

That is my “lottery money” dream car. I don’t even care if the interior is terrible (it is, I owned an SVT Focus for 10 years. The rattles are real).

Can’t be as cheap as my old car (Base model Sonic), the interior was 95% hard plastic. Shockingly it did not have many rattles.

Front wheel drive is worst wheel drive (and I had an auto cross prepped integra GSR back in the day and now a Mk7 GTI daily so I think I’m qualified to say). Back to AWD daily next (last was a 9-2x aero) or adding a RWD daily to the stable.
